I really hope there are snowflakes in heaven. Everyone should get to have snowflakes for the holidays, especially angels. I hope you are holding your own festivities up there. I also believe that you will still find a way to be there with us as we open presents and sing "Jingle Bells" too loudly after a few glasses of wine. I know you wouldn’t miss it for the world. I’ll be looking for you this year. Although you may be gone, I know your spirit is here with us. The traditions we shared and the memories we have will continue to influence my life. Our holidays together may have been too few, but that’s kind of how life goes: we never seem to have enough time to spend together. You are the fathers, the mothers, the grandparents, the husbands, the wives, the sisters, the brothers, the sons, the daughters, and everyone in between. You are all of those we’re missing today and every day. In the midst of this busy season, just know that you will always be in my heart, that every time I hear someone say something you would’ve or laugh the way you did, I’ll be thinking of you.
